Do you believe in fate?
We met my eighteenth summer at Kingfisher Cove. I was an innocent. On the cusp of womanhood. Untouched but jaded beyond my years. My future had been meticulously plotted and planned. It stretched in front of me. Smothering me. Endless duty and obligation—my legacy as a Randcliffe descendant.
Jace was blue-collar. Rough and unrefined, from the wrong side of the Cove. He was the polar opposite of the prep school boys I usually dated…yet his fiery kisses enlivened me, holding promise of a life outside the confines of wealth and privilege. Of excitement. Freedom.
Then everything I’d ever known was snatched away in the blink of an eye.
I didn’t just lose Jace.
I lost everything.
Now, fifteen years later, I've clawed my way back on top. I run a successful real estate brokerage. As a woman of means, I’m self-made. Accomplished. Still, my heart is greedy, yearning for more. Kingfisher Cove’s siren song tempts me to return to my beloved ancestral seaside cottage…and to Jace.
Will fate grant us a second chance to fulfill our destiny?
